Your phone began to ring and you answered it immediately when you saw his caller ID. You hurriedly unlocked your phone and began to text him. Are you ignoring him? There was no way you were answering that call, she’d kill you and question you every time you tried to leave the house. You let out a heavy sigh and waited for it to stop ringing. You emptied the contents of your bag onto the bench, some of the items falling between the gaps and landing on the floor.

You figured that they had come outside, maybe looking for you too, but now you had realised that they had probably just left you. You sigh and silently thank God that it’s so late at night (or early in the morning, you had no idea what time it was) and so dark so no one would recognise you.
