Be prepared to dodge up to 3 times or get to his back and strike at him then move back a few paces to be ready for the next attack. Even with enough smithing stones, the hunter deals incredible damage if any attack connects, so this fight is mostly about dodging or blocking his attacks and following up with a few of your own before waiting for your next opportunity. The Bell Bearing Hunter is incredibly strong compared to the rest of the region, and you'll need to wait until you've powered up your weapon to deal more damage or risk having the fight drag on forever. This can have a long delay so you'll need to wait before he lunges before dodging.
Grab - The Hunter’s fist glows red and he grabs you, dealing damage and pulling you closer. Dash Attack - The Bell-Bearing Hunter rushes forward and knocks you down. Sometimes he'll immediately pick it back up, but if he pauses, he'll charge up his shield to glow red before lifting it up with an explosion. Shield Bash - If you’re up close, the Bell-Bearing Hunter will smash his shield on you. Keep moving as he pivots to get behind him and strike. Red Sword Drill - Holding his sword back it will begin to spin in his hand, before pivoting to thrust out at you with a rapidly spinning sword that will deal incredible damage. This covers a wide area and usually includes three slashes, though he sometimes uses it at close range too. Red Sword Throw - These are more dangerous, as the Hunter throws his sword, lengthens it, and slashes. It’s a close-range attack and usually ends with a thrust. Sword Slashes - These are the Hunter’s basic moves, where he slashes with his sword once or twice. You’ll want to be either up close with heavy melee strikes or further back with strong spells for this battle. The middle ground is the most dangerous place to be with the Bell-Bearing Hunter.
